He is sleeping pretty well at night, but I have been letting him sleep with me because I was so tired, so today we begin his "sleeping in the crib" training. This is one area that I have not mastered with my other 3 children (it took me 4 years to get my first two sleeping through the night-yes 4 years!!!) so any advice or suggestions are very welcome!

He had a bubble bath this morning with too many bubbles! He kept getting them all over his face and sucking them up his nose. He's just so squirmy! Sorry James!

ReplyDeleteFor sleeping, The Baby Whisperer is my favorite--there's a couple different books that cover the technique, but the best part is the message boards online where you can get pretty immediate support. I've made awesome friends from all the time I spent (cause I was another one with sleep issues with my two). And its such a middle-ground theory--I tend to lean a little more on the attachment parenting side of BW, but I am proud of the fact that I did teach Abe to sleep in his crib for naps and when he hit that magic age of 6 months, he turned into the most awesome napper ever. Nights, whole other story, but I try not to think about that ;)
Happiest Baby on the Block is another great one for the first few months--I like those ideas more in the beginning.

ReplyDeletePoppy you all look so cute! I loved happiest baby on the block. But seriously make his bed/crib the place he likes to sleep. Make your bed yours and Danny's of course. Sleep is everything when you feel like you are losing your mind in mommy land.
