For Labor Day we decided to take off to cooler temps. We headed north to the mountains to explore the Tonto Natural Bridge State Park It is the largest naturally formed travertine bridge. It was beautiful and about 20 degrees cooler than down here in the valley...Bonus! We had a fun time climbing on the rocks and exploring the cave under the bridge. The kids also enjoyed a little dip in one of the pools. We enjoyed being out in nature and spending time together.
We actually are tolerating the heat quite well. Better than expected...and it has been the hottest summer on record. The past several weeks have been over 110 nearly every day. We are getting a little tired of the heat, but it really hasn't been all that bad. However, we would welcome a cool down soon!
