WOW...

Your guys's prayers really work! Danny called Intel yesterday and spoke to a guy that had previously offered him a position (which he turned down to go to Ford) and he was happy to hear from him and sorry for what had happened...anyway to make a long story short...NM here we come. Intel graciously re-extended the offer and we will be headed to there facility in Rio Rancho, NM (just north of Albuquerque.) Danny will start two weeks from Monday. Yippee! Now we just have to see if Ford will just deliver our stuff to NM. I think they should have to! It would be so much easier than unloading here and reloading to head south.
We are so excited and feeling extremely blessed at this time. Thanks again for all your prayers...they really worked (and quickly to boot!)

Wow! That was fast and I am so happy for you guys! Good luck with everything and I think that Ford for sure needs to do whatever it takes to make up for dumping you when you were already on your way out there.

Oh, Poppy! That is the best news! We are so happy for you!!! We'll definitely miss you in the midwest, but we're so happy that Danny found an even better job and so quickly at that. Stop by and say good-bye before you take off. Also, there is a little stuffed penguin here that is homesick. :) Congratulations!!!

Wow - what a crazy turn of events. I just got on here and read about the Ford disaster, and was so happy to read this post afterwards. What a blessing that you didn't buy a house!

If we are ever driving from Texas to Utah, we'll have to stop by and visit you in Albuquerque.

Now you know I am stalker of your blog! Congrats on the new job. I feel bad for your trials, but they only make us stronger, right? It is Ford's loss and Intel's gain!

Yae! You are so lucky...I think it is your good attitude. I like NM better...I don't know anything about it just that it is closer. Good luck!

Oh my goodness, I am soooo relieved! What a blessing to have prayers answered so quickly and in such a great way. Hooray for intel! I hope stinky Ford will work with you getting your stuff to NM and that you'll find a place to live there soon. Yay for the southwest! Congrats, and best of luck!

Hey Poppy! We just got back from a cruise last week, and there was a couple and their son at our table from New Mexico. Really funny part is, the dad had grown up in Detroit! Wow! What a coincidence!!! Anyways, they LOVE NM and he ESPECIALLY prefers it to MI - if that's any help whatsoever! God is sending you where he thinks it's best! Hugs and kisses... and lots of luck!!!

Poppy that is great news. Not Arizona or Utah, but I'll take it over MI!!:) My sister-in-law is from there and she is awesome and she loves it and all her family is there, so if you want me to hook you up, she is a sweetheart and would love to talk with you I'm sure! I am sooooo happy for you guys, I would call, but I don't want to wake you guys up...ha, like you are asleep. I told Kyle tonight he should call Danny and ask him if he had found anything yet but then we both quickly agreed that you probably wouldn't hear back until next week. I'm glad I was wrong! Prayers really do work...but I was sure I was praying for Utah...oh, well, happy for you!:) When is your new move date? We would love to say goodbye again!

Yeah, I'm so glad everything worked out. We are heading to Intel as well, but we'll be in the Oregon office.

We are so happy for your guys. What a tremendous relief! We are happy because NM is a heck of a lot closer than MI. Mike's Mom was saying to call the chamber of commerce and they will send you a huge booklet of everything that goes on in Albuquerque. Apparently she was saying they have a day where a whole bunch of hot air balloons take off... apparently it's the sight to see. They were considering living there years ago and she said it was beautiful. We are excited for the new adventure that awaits you!

That is fantastic news! It sounds like Intel and the person that Danny went through has great moral ethics to continue to extend the offer, and that they were so understanding. Economics and business can be shrewd, but its' so wonderful when people realize the human side to it all, and that you were the recipient of such blessings! Good luck with the move and can't wait to hear about updates, it seems that everyone is off to the next phase of life but that we don't hear too many stories...thank goodness for blogs!! :)

I just saw all the drama--so sorry that you guys have had such a nightmare the last week, but yay for happy endings! I have an aunt and uncle in Albuquerque and they love it (and a BIL who works for Intel and also loves it). And the weather is definately better :)
