Happy Birthday to ME!!

And what a birthday it was!  Yesterday we found out that they will not be sending our things to NM as agreed upon the day before.  It turns out that by the time they got the message out to everyone, our stuff had already been loaded and was on its way here to UT.  It will arrive on Monday...I'm not holding my breath, though!  So...yet again, I had to send Danny on his way today to NM as he has to start work on Monday and get things set up for the house.  So, second move in a row that I am on my own.  I hate moving!  I don't want to do it again anytime soon!
IF the stuff comes on Monday,we will take off and join Danny on Tuesday.  Hopefully Wednesday at the latest.
My family here did try to make my day a little special.  All the kids made cards and my SIL took me to the fabric store to pick out some material for some nightshirts.  We're gonna do a little sewing over the next few days.  And of course, there was homemade chocolate cake.  Thanks to everyone that tried to make the most of a bummer day!  Next year has got to be better!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday! I'm so sorry it was a bit of a bummer one, but I hope that you get your stuff SOON and that you'll be in NM before you know it. Here's to a better year ahead than birthday! I feel great things coming for you! Love ya!

what a crazy ride you are all having. and your b-day sounds like what we call an 'adult b-day'. by the way, i think you look good in brown.

Oh, Poppy! I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this. When Jesse came over today, I was confused but now I understand. Hopefully you will have all of your stuff in your new place before you know it and hopefully unpacking will be a lot easier than you think. Happy belated birthday! Tomorrow is sure to be a brighter day.

I thought of you yesterday...just didn't have a computer to send a comment.. Happy Happy Bday! Isn't it fun being an adult with all these adult decisions and trials and run-arounds? !!! What happened to the good 'ole days of just longing for our sleepovers and biking down to Jim's to get our candy..oh, the days. Good luck with the move--it IS the pits, for sure.

YOU are still here?!! I didn't check your blog because I figured you were on the road! Leave already! I cannot believe the bad luck you guys have been having. I think you have had all the bad luck one can take for the next 3 years or so. Does this mean you have to pay to ship your stuff to New Mexico? Bummer if you do. Well, I didn't get a homemade chocolate cake! You will have to show off your cute night shirts when you sew them, I'm trying to imagine what they look like. We are going to watch the parade in Lehi this morning and then we are headed to our Wildwood cabin. I might be there all day Wednesday by myself so if you haven't left and want to come hang out in the mountains let me know...but I know it isn't all that appealing with 3 kids by your self and, well, you know:) I wish I had some other solution for you other than you driving all the way to N.M. by yourself. Do you have to drive the moving truck with 3 kids or are you sending it? Stinks! But, you can do anything (according to Sybil and me of course) because you are Poppy! You make sure that Danny has everything set up for you...internet, t.v. etc so you don't have to do all that stuff when you get there! Good luck!!

I think you should have a great one month late party once you get settled in and can relax. Sorry this day did not go so well though. But Happy Birthday anyways!
