First Kicks

I'm just sitting here playing on the internet and I can finally feel the baby kicking (I actually first felt it last night when I couldn't sleep, but then I woke up not knowing if I had dreamed it or not.) It doesn't matter that this is #4, it is still amazing to me. This is the first time in this pregnancy that I have felt a connection to this little one. It is an wonderful blessing.
We will find out what we are having next Friday, the 12th...I think it is a girl and I have been right with the last 3, so we will soon see if I am batting 1000!

I think you will be right. A little girl. But I'm a little disappointed that you might not name her Popppy. Such a cute name! Loved all the pictures. Scary hike though! I had no idea that N.M. had mountains/forests/ and the color green. Looks pretty! I finally got some girl clothes from a cute new 2nd hand shop...and cute pottery barn bedding from ebay...so now the nursery really looks like a baby girl will live there someday! So exciting! We are now all decorated and settled in. Your turn:)

Congrats. I had a really hard time connecting to number three. We were not going to find out the gender, but I told Ryan I needed something to try and make me feel connected. Enjoy!

It's hard to feel a connection with your babies in-utero when you're so busy with three others poking you on the outside wanting your undivided attention! Hooray for those little kicks and pokes & flutters as they turn about growing inside of you...it's all so miraculous to me. What names are on your list?

Well, your posts just have me and Brett convinced that we need to be out there in less than a year for sure. We had to drive 4 hours just to get to rolling hills - rolling hills! - last weekend. Such a great time in Bandelier but at the same time...wow. By the way...it looks like you have one of those body types that only gets pregnant right in the pregnant area. How do you do it. My face gets all round and swollen and with you it just doesn't show at all.

I have always loved baby kicks (as long as they aren't into my ribs). My first was such a kicker that my husband and I would watch her instead of TV each nite. It was like an alien doing the tango in my belly.

Enjoy it!

I love those first kicks, or tickles, too. I sure miss having you around here. The kids, mine and the whole neighborhood's, are loving the swing set. Thanks again!

Wow - how exciting. I'm so curious to see what you find out tomorrow. I didn't know you'd guesses right on your other 3 - pretty impressive. I never have a clue.
